These terms apply when you use casecompare.com or buy anything from Case Compare LLC (“Case Compare,” “we,” “us”), including The Case Narrowing Method™ course, our workbooks and our other products. By using the site or making a purchase, you agree to them.

1. What Case Compare is, and what it isn’t

Case Compare teaches everyday people a method for comparing publicly listed missing-person and unidentified-person cases, and for passing possible matches to the people responsible for those cases. It is educational material only.

• We are not law enforcement, a medical examiner, an investigator, or a legal service, and we don’t provide legal or forensic advice.
• We don’t guarantee that using the course will lead to an identification, a reply from any agency, or any other result.
• Case details quoted in the course come from public sources and may change or be updated by the agencies responsible.

2. How you agree to use what you learn

Missing and unidentified cases involve real people and grieving families. By using Case Compare you agree to:

• Never present yourself as law enforcement, an official investigator, or as working for Case Compare.
• Send potential matches only to the case handlers listed on a case (such as the investigating agency, medical examiner or coroner), and follow their instructions.
• Never contact the families of missing or unidentified people about a potential match, unless a family member has publicly invited ideas and potential matches.
• Keep your comparisons private. Don’t post them publicly or on social media.
• Follow the terms of use of any database you search (such as NamUs), and all applicable laws.

You are responsible for your own research and for what you submit. Case Compare isn’t responsible for how any agency responds to it.

3. Your course access

When you buy the course, you get a personal, non-transferable license to watch it and use its templates and worksheets for your own research. Please don’t share your login, resell or redistribute the course, or record, copy or post its videos, slides or materials. The printable templates included with the course are for course purchasers only. Please print them and use them for your own research, as many times as you like.

You may not reproduce the templates or workbook for anyone else. That means you may not print, bind, publish, sell, give away or distribute them, or any substantial part of them, in print or digital form, including through print-on-demand services, online marketplaces or as part of another product. The printed Case Compare notebooks are published and sold only by Case Compare LLC.

The templates, workbook and course are protected by copyright, and Case Compare™ and The Case Narrowing Method™ are trademarks of Case Compare LLC. Any unauthorized reproduction or sale infringes those rights, and we will enforce them, including by seeking removal of infringing copies, damages and court orders to stop the infringement.

The course is hosted by SamCart. We’ll keep it available for as long as we offer it; if we ever stop, we’ll give course owners reasonable notice.

4. Purchases and prices

Purchases are processed by SamCart. Prices are in US dollars and may change, but a change never affects an order you’ve already placed. Any applicable taxes are shown at checkout.

Physical products (workbooks, Face Compare and stickers) are coming soon. Shipping details will be shown at checkout when they’re available.

5. Refunds

The course: 30-day money-back guarantee. If The Case Narrowing Method™ isn’t right for you, email support@casecompare.com within 30 days of your purchase and we’ll refund you in full. No questions asked. Refunds go back to the card or account you paid with, and your course access ends when the refund is made.

Printed products are final sale. The notebooks, workbooks, Face Compare and stickers are printed for your order, so we don’t accept returns or give refunds if you change your mind. If your order arrives damaged, misprinted or doesn’t arrive, email support@casecompare.com within 30 days of delivery with a photo, and we’ll replace it or refund you. The 30-day money-back guarantee covers the course only.

6. Our content and trademarks

The course, workbooks, templates, scripts, slides, videos, text and designs are owned by Case Compare LLC and protected by copyright. Case Compare™ and The Case Narrowing Method™ are trademarks of Case Compare LLC. Nothing in these terms gives you ownership of them.

7. Email

If you join our list, we’ll send launch news and occasional updates. You can unsubscribe any time. How we handle your information is covered in our Privacy Policy.

8. Disclaimer

The site, course and products are provided “as is.” To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We work to keep our material accurate but can’t promise it’s free of errors.

9. Limit of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, Case Compare LLC won’t be liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, course or products, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the product the claim relates to.

10. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We’ll change the date at the top when we do, and a change never applies to a purchase made before it.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Mexico, United States.
